Happy New Year & nail art with OPI White Shatter

*Nothing to disclose

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is well and rested after the festive season, I can definitely say I am. I’m loving the time I have away from work right now. A lot of lazing about, mostly doing nothing. Wonderful!

I want to share with you two things today: 1. Some nail art I wore earlier in December using OPI White Shatter and 2. The way overdue news of me being pregnant. I’m about 36 weeks along now so that’s why lately I’ve had a lot of interruptions on the blog. Some days (OK, a lot of days!) I just didn’t feel like posting so I didn’t. But I wanted you all to know before bub arrived as I’ve been wanting to tell you all for ages now! I just felt a bit weird about randomly announcing it in a post, that’s all. My husband and I are super excited and we’re looking forward to meeting our little one. My pregnancy has gone quite smoothly and I still feel pretty good, although the fatigue is getting to me now. I really do have a better appreciation for my body and what it can do, it’s incredible.

Now, moving on to the nails! OPI White Shatter is what got me really into nail polish. I was just so amazed that a polish could change right before my eyes. I didn’t realise there could be so many finishes to polishes. So, after wearing Ciate Main Stage for a few days and getting some chips on the tips, I decided to utilise White Shatter.

I taped off my nails into an inverted V and then applied one coat of White Shatter, then I removed the tape and used my Kiss nail striper in silver to outline the V shape. I was going to leave it just as White Shatter and Main Stage but I felt it needed something else. I really enjoyed my walk down memory lane with White Shatter. I think I caught the end of the shatter craze (2011-2012?) and can still enjoy it every now and then. What do you think? Thanks for reading!
