Another day, another polish. This time a newbie from Rimmel London. I’d been noticing lately Rimmel hadn’t been restocking its Salon Pro polishes and I though it was because they were going to be discontinued. Turns out Rimmel was just re-releasing them in new bottles and (some) new colours, with a celebrity endorsement – Kate Moss. Rimmel’s been using Kate for a while now so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Her name now features prominently on the bottles so she must have signed on for a while. And here I was thinking celebrities were afraid of commitment!
Anywho, one of the new colours that caught my eye was Acid House. There was a really nice pinky-purpley one too, but I can’t remember its name. Acid House is a gorgeous deep metallic green that has these really pretty green sparkly bits when caught in the right light.
The wonderful Salon Pro brush is as good as always and I found the formula to be perfect in two coats. It was almost a one-coater, but it was slightly streaky for me. The colour is also perfect for winter – totally regal-esque! Would potentially be better if I wasn’t so pale, ha ha.
- Where to buy: Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse (and many other chemists, this is just where I got mine)
- Cost: AU$7.99
- Volume: 12ml
- Coats to opacity: Two
So what do you think of the new-look Salon Pro polishes? Have you seen them in stores? Thanks for reading!
