Hello there! Tonight I have a special polish to show you from Moonstone Nail Polish. It’s a custom polish called Purple People Eater (I chose the name! It was the first thing that came into my head, but I think it suits the polish nicely). I was the highest bidder in a Moonstone listing in an annual nail polish auction fundraiser organised by Theresa of Grace-full Nail Polish for International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day in October. As part of my winning bid I received a polish called Shining Star (a gorgeous baby blue creme with blue shimmer) and the opportunity to work with the owner of Moonstone, Caitlin, on a custom polish. Read on for more!
Purple People Eater is a purple linear holo with a smattering of tiny iridescent glitter and small gold hexes. I really enjoyed the process of “making” this polish, but I think I was one of those horror customers for Caitlin as I was a bit indecisive about a few things. Caitlin was amazing though in providing me both pics and video of the polish as it was being designed. I totally didn’t expect that! I absolutely love the look of the gold hexes. The formula of Purple People Eater is also amazing – very easy to apply and not too thick at all. This is two coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
So, what do you think of Purple People Eater? Have you considered making a custom before? I must confess, now that I’ve got one I want another! It’s also a great idea for a special gift, now that I think of it. Hmm. Thanks for reading!
