Tonight I have the stunning December 2016 collection to bring you from Femme Fatale Cosmetics called Total Recall, inspired by the film of the same name. Luckily, while this collection was launched in December, you will be able to get your hands on it again one last time next month in May when Femme Fatale has its final presale on the collection. Let’s take a look!

I want to start with my favourite: The Ego Trip. This is a clear base with pink shimmer, chrome flakes and golden holo glitter. It’s such a dense polish, but I love it. You could probably wear it as a topper, but I like it as it is, personally. I’ve done three coats here, and as such it does become top coat-hungry, so you’re going to need a good, thick top coat for this polish. I used one thick coat of Seche Vite.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Clever Girl swatched by Dry, Dammit! You can kind of see the transition here – it moved so fast!

I really love the sharp contrast that makes up Clever Girl. It’s a thermal polish that transitions from clear (warm) to magenta (cold) with gold glitter and holo, of course! This polish was very manageable and I really like how the gold glitter looks in both states. This is another three-coater, but I think it’s worth it for the final effect. I’ve used a top coat of Seche.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Turbinium swatched by Dry, Dammit!TURBINIUM

Turbinium has a purple base with turquoise shimmer, green-gold-orange shifting flakes, a scattering of holo and green iridescent microglitter. For me, I applied two thick coats and I didn’t get any VNL, but you may need to keep an eye on this one just in case. Turbinium is the limited edition colour in the collection, so I don’t think it will be available when the next presale for Total Recall is on in May, unfortunately. I’ve topped it with a top coat of Seche.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection 2084 swatched by Dry, Dammit!2084

2084 is a soft grey creme with a mauve and red overlay. It’s a very neutral colour and I think one many have and will flock to because of its wearability. The formula is quite generous on this one, being on the thick side, so what you see here is two coats with a top coat of Seche.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Ready for Dreamland? swatched by Dry, Dammit!READY FOR DREAMLAND?

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Ready for Dreamland? swatched by Dry, Dammit! The polish looks grainy because I didn’t add top coat; silly me.

Ready for Dreamland? is a pale lavender-grey with fine silver flecks and pink sparks. It self-levelled really well and I remember I didn’t add a top coat for this swatch; I just left it at two coats because… well, I actually can’t remember why! I’m sure there was a good reason. I would recommend a top coat though because as you can see in the macro, it does dry a little grainy.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection The Last Resort swatched by Dry, Dammit!THE LAST RESORT

The Last Resort is a burgundy creme base with a slight orange shift and scattered holo. It’s quite a pretty polish and can look quite deep depending on your lighting. I found the formula super easy to work with and what you see here is two coats with a top coat of Seche.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Venusville swatched by Dry, Dammit!VENUSVILLE

Venusville is the second thermal in the collection. It’s clear (warm) to pink (cold) with blue shimmer and silver holo microglitter. I really like the look of the warm state when you can see all the shimmer and microglitter. This is two coats with a top coat of Seche.

Femme Fatale Total Recall Collection Welcome to Mars swatched by Dry, Dammit!WELCOME TO MARS

Finally, we have Welcome to Mars. It’s a orange-red duochrome with gold glitter and chrome flakes. I really like how this one is complex and quirky at the same time. It’s my second favourite from the collection. The formula was great to work with and this is two coats with a top coat of Seche.

Phew! There we have it. Do any of these polishes look like they might call your name in May? I highly recommend The Ego Trip! It’s just a lot of fun. Thanks for reading!
