Hello! I recently picked up some Bettie Pain Polish polishes (seems a bit funny to write that!) in its recent 20% off sale. Along with Bipolar Pony that I’m going to show you below, I also picked up Poison Berry, Jazz and Breathe, Just Breathe. I also received a free mini of Stolen, which I’m very happily surprised with and am looking forward to trying out. You can see a flatlay of my purchases on my IG. But for now, let’s take a closer look at Bipolar Pony!
Bipolar Pony is a thermal, which changes from silver when warm to dark grey when cold. There’s a scattering of holo in there, too, and it also has these really lovely gold microflakes and some colour-changing flakes in a few colours; I see red and purple mainly. I didn’t actually realise when I bought it, but Bipolar Pony is part of Bettie Pain Polish’s Unicorn Collection. I’ve looked up the other colours in the collection and now realised I should have bought more, as they’re right up my alley. 😐 But oh well, there’s always next time, right? I’m wearing two coats with a top coat of Seche. The formula was really lovely on this one, not difficult to work with at all, but it does go on a bit sheer. I reckon next time I would do three thin coats instead of just two.
It’s also seems bizarre to say (given at times it can look a bit dark), but I found this to be a really delicate polish. I think it’s do to with all the stuff going on in it besides the thermal effect. And maybe because of the fact that it’s a bit sheer when it goes into its warm mode? Or it could just be all in my head!

I’ve really enjoyed wearing Bipolar Pony and having a good chuckle at its name as well. In fact, the name was one of the reasons why I bought it. I felt like it was a nice lighthearted way to move on from my past few undesirable months with a smile. Thanks for reading!
