Hiya! Today I bring you one of the trios from Celestial Cosmetics in time for Halloween, as well as the September LE. The trio is called The Curse Of Miss Ives and is a collaboration between Nicki (the mastermind behind Celestial) and her social media maven, Jacq. I love the name of the trio, which is inspired by a character of the TV show Penny Dreadful named Vanessa Ives. The polishes are inspired by Vanessa’s costumes worn in the show.

The September LE 2016 is at the end, so read on for more!

Seance is a deep purple linear holo with gold shimmer. The formula on this one was truly fabulous – buttery and self-levelling. The gold really does stand out in person, so if you like gold polishes you’d probably really like this as a unique polish to add to your stash. This is my favourite from the collection; it’s such a stunner. Pictured is two coats with a top coat of Celestial Cosmetics Light Year Quick Dry Top Coat.

Little Scorpion is a black-based scattered holo with silver flakes and black holo microglitter. I love the intricate colours of this one up close! We need more black holos in our lives. Plus, the formula was smooth and easy, which is always a good thing. I’m wearing two coats with a top coat of Light Year.

Demimonde is a soft grey linear holo. The grey is very faint and you’ll need to get a good light to see the holo. The formula on this one was a bit sheer (yet manageable) and you’ll most likely need three coats like me. This is three coats with a top coat of Light Year.

The September LE 2016 is based on the flower the morning glory (inspiration picture below). The picture was chosen in the Celestial’s Stars Facebook group; if you haven’t joined I recommend you do! It’s a lot of fun in there. Nicki used the centre of the flower for inspiration, which translated to a bright magenta pink holo base with purple, blue and indigo flakes. I love, love, love this polish! I’m wearing two coats with a top coat of Light Year.
