Good evening! And happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there; I hope it’s been a lovely day for you all. Tonight I’m bringing you some polishes from a collection I’ve wanted to show you since I first bought them a couple of months ago but you know how it goes! I’m just far too important and busy, ha ha. Below are some polishes from the most recent collection (I think!) of Sayuri, which is called the Alfheim Collection. I don’t own any other Sayuri polishes apart from one from a What’s In-die Box?, which I quite liked, so read on to see what I thought about these new polishes I own.
Oh, and just a note on the pictures. I took these in a huge rush so some of the pics are really red and splotchy – sorry! I didn’t have time to finesse the light all too much.
I think Third Space Of Heaven is the only other thermal polish I own that’s not a Femme Fatale Cosmetics polish. And I really like it. in the cold it’s purple and when warm it’s blue. The gold sparks throughout make this polish sing though as the gold goes so well with both the purple and blue. I looked at other bloggers’ swatches of this one and I noticed their swatches seem much more vibrant than mine, so maybe they wore some undies? What you see with my swatch is two coats without top coat. I reckon I’d do three thin coats next time to try and pick up the vibrancy I saw in other swatches.
Fairer Than The Sun is a pink-leaning-to-coral creme with a vibrant blue shimmer, holo glitter and rose glitter. This is two coats and it was a really lovely formula, just drying a bit gritty so you will need a top coat. I added a top coat of Seche. In person the blue is much more prominent – it seems it went into hiding in my pictures! Well, you can see it in the bottle in the first pic.
I loved wearing Exalted Empire. I wore it for about a week and got so many compliments on it! Exalted Empire is a lilac crelly with violet and aqua shimmer and tiny microglitter of blue and purple. It’s such an easy-going polish – if that can be a thing – and I found two coats with top coat was perfect for me. Although a purple polish with a lot going on, I found it very neutral, so this would be a good one if you needed something work friendly.
Gosh I love metallic polishes. Luminous Beings is metallic silver with purple shimmer and tiny holo glitter. This has got such an interesting effect when dry. It looks a bit bumpy, but it’s not. I liked that, so I kept it on like that. What you see is just two coats without top coat.
