Hello! Tonight I have another wonderful collection from Celestial Cosmetics to show you called the Unicorns and Rainbows Collection. If you love the look of old-school holos before they became mainstream and experimented with, then you’re going to love this collection. It’s five simply stunning and elegant linear holos that just scream when in the sun. Let’s take a look! (Oh, and I also have a bit of nail art at the end. Enjoy!).
Wowsers, what a polish to start with! Unicorn Fields is an amazing polish. While I’m not big on green polishes, I have to say this is lovely. It’s a vibrant green linear holo and totally different to the other colours in this collection. I would have prefered a pastel green/mint to match the other colours, but if you love greens this is a nice surprise. This is two coats without top coat. If you apply your nail polish thick this could be a one-coater – the formula was that easy!
Snow Unicorn is a traditional light grey linear holo. In the shade it has a strong steel grey colour, so it’s not overly “flat” when not in direct light. Application was wonderful, but I did find this more sheer than the other polishes in the collection. This is three coats without top coat.
RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS UNITE
Rainbows and Unicorns Unite is my favourite from the collection. It’s a soft lavender linear holo with a green overlay, which creates a duochrome effect when not in direct light of purple to steel blue (I tried to show it in the last photo. Fail!). This is two coats without top coat and like the others, the formula was divine!
CAKES AND RAINBOWS
Cakes and Rainbows is a gold linear holo. It’s a very neutral gold and it could even be a “nude” holo. It was so easy to apply as well! This is two coats without top coat. It really is a beautiful polish!
Farting Rainbows could be a one-coat wonder if I could apply my polish better. 🙂 It’s a periwinkle blue linear holo with a soft purple overlay. Very similar to Rainbows and Unicorns Unite but you still need them both I think! Personally, I don’t like the name of this polish but I can see the humour factor to it. This is two coats without top coat and let me tell you – this definitely has the standout formula of the collection. It just glides onto the nail so smoothly.
I also did a little bit of nail art with Farting Rainbows. Using Emily de Molly stamping plate EDM18 and white stamping polish by Konad, I stamped a quick design onto half of my nails and then added some silver dot studs from the essence Dark Romance Nail Art Decoration Kit to the border of the stamping. I quite like how it came out! See what you think:
