Hello! Tonight I have some more Born Pretty Store goodies to bring you: water decals! I’m seeing water decals everywhere now and they really have come a long way since I first started blogging (and that’s nearly three years, so not all that long at all!). These decals from Born Pretty are just lovely and very easy to use. I recently saw a design by Zlata on IG (@de_briz) and knew I had to recreate this look for this Born Pretty water decal post; take a look below.
He he he – I just had to have the instructions in there too so you could see. I just love Engrish! You can still interpret the instructions though, even though they are a little confusing. Regardless of the packaging, these “worked” like every other kind of decals I’ve used. Cut, soak in water for about 10-15 seconds and then apply to a (usually) white-painted nail. The decals were a bit narrow, which I did struggle with sometimes to smooth out the sides after they’d curled from being in the water. But this wasn’t with every decal.
Instead of using silver studs I wanted to use sequins, which would be closer to Zlata’s original look, but the only sequins I have are really transparent and it looked a bit messy where the half moon started. The pink holo polish underneath is Emily de Molly Poser, which I bought in its Boxing Day sale. It’s my first time wearing it and I love it, too!
