Hello hello! I have my last Celestial Cosmetics post for you for 2015. Sad but true! I’m brining you two limited edition polishes for this month; December LE 2015 and Christmas LE 2015. Let’s jump right in and look at December’s LE, shall we?

The December LE is a take on the December birthstone tanzanite, which is a gem only found in Tanzania and is very rare. It alternates between the colours sapphire blue, violet and burgundy. The polish is a bright blue scattered holo with violet shimmer. I really liked how he violet shimmer looked in natural lighting. I tried to capture it in the above picture but it didn’t come out to play! I applied two coats and a top coat of Celestial Cosmetics Solar Ray Quick Dry Top Coat. Even though I used a base, this stained my nails slightly at the edges so please do wear a base coat. The formula was wonderful to work with though, albeit the staining.

The idea behind the Christmas LE is a Christmas tree in a bottle, a concept I just love. I think the green crelly with green sparks is the perfect base for the variety of glitter it includes: pink dots, silver triangles, red holo glitter, green microglitter, blue squares and orange holo hexes. I will admit I had a bit of difficulty with the application. I found the glitter difficult to work with and I was unable to get any triangles onto my nails, which I actually don’t mind. In the end to get the application right I applied one normal coat as best I could and then dabbed a second coat over the top of it, as well as placing glitter in certain spots and fishing for glitter. I then gave it two coats of Celestial Cosmetics Light Year Quick Dry Top Coat as I found it definitely needed a heavier top coat to keep all the glitter pieces smooth.
