Good evening! Tonight I bring you another stunning collection by Celestial Cosmetics. It’s called The Cinders Collection and it is inspired by the fairytale Cinderella. It’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to show you, but first, I’ll just give you an update. Firstly, my family and I were away overseas in Bali, Indonesia, for the past couple of weeks, which is why I haven’t posted lately. We had a wonderful time and at four months of age it was Archer’s first overseas trip! I didn’t have mine until I was 25! Second – if you follow me on Instagram you’ll already know – I cut my middle finger pretty bad so in the swatches below you’ll see my cut. Sorry in advance. Now, onto the polishes!

The Footman is a brown jelly packed with gold shimmer and green/gold flakies. It’s inspired by Bruno, Cinderella’s dog (who turns into the footman for the pumpkin carriage the Fairy Godmother creates). This has a lovely depth once applied but to achieve that look you will need at least three coats, which is what you see here, as it’s a sheer polish. I’ve topped it with Celestial Cosmetics Solar Ray Quick Dry Top Coat. This is a lovely regal-looking polish I think. Just note though because it’s sheer, in the sun you can see “bald spots” but to the naked eye this is not noticeable. My shots were taken indoors in natural light and as you can see, no problem.

DAME OF DUST

Dame of Dust is a dark grey/black base with silver shimmer, shredded purple glitter (love!), blue and red holo microglitter. It’s also got a holo effect going on and I took all shots but the bottle shot with flash. As with the rest of the polishes I’ll show you, I really wanted to show off the beautiful holo-ness of them in natural light, but cursed Tasmanian weather meant that it was impossible this weekend, unless I did a sun dance. So flash it is! What you see here is two coats topped with Celestial Cosmetics Light Year Quick Dry Top Coat. It’s not bumpy at all once covered with a good top coat. The microglitter in this is gorgeous! Dame of Dust is inspired by Lady Tremaine, AKA the Wicked Stepmother.

MISS T

Miss T is inspired by Drizella Tremaine, the Wicked Stepmother’s daughter and Cinderella’s stepsister. She wears a green dress to the ball. This is a lime green base with a gorgeous golden shimmer. It has dark green glitter and a scattered holo; such a beautiful green. I think it would be great in a few Christmas designs. I’ve applied two coats with a top coat of Light Year. This was very easy to apply!

MOTHER OF FAIRIES

Mother of Fairies is (if you haven’t guessed by the name) inspired by the Fairy Godmother. And it’s such a beautiful polish! This is a lilac linear holo that is very subtle and very hard to capture on camera. This is two coats topped with Solar Ray. Buttery and wonderful to apply.

ASHES TO CINDERS

Ashes to Cinders is a deep purple linear holo with pink and indigo flakies. It is my favourite from the collection and I believe this is inspired from when Cinderella is transformed into her gown for the ball. I wish I had a macro lens for this to show you how great the flakies are, and trust me, they’re great! I’ve applied two coats with a top coat of Solar Ray. Super easy to apply! I think this has bumped Emily de Molly Devotion off the top of my favourite purple holo list.
