Glam Polish Bubble Berry

*Nothing to disclose

Evening! Tonight I bring you Glam Polish Bubble Berry, which I think I am lucky to own as what I have read about it says it was limited edition. I got mine through a destash sale (woot!) but I think it’s hard to find anywhere else. I believe it was released in 2013 so if anyone know where you can buy it from now let me know.

Bubble Berry is a pink jelly with glitter that is opaque in two coats. Glitter includes holo dots in large and small sizes as well as holo microglitter. What you see is two coats with a top coat of Seche. This was very easy to apply and I had a lot of fun wearing it.

Delicate square nail art

*Nothing to disclose

Hello! I’m bringing you some nail art inspired by The Illustrated Nail’s Easter nail art menu (the top row, second from right). I wanted it to have a higher contrast like The Illustrated Nail, but I didn’t choose the right colours for this to happen, unfortunately. Still, I quite like it subtle as well, but I definitely think it needed the silver outline I added around the squares. Take a look!

As my base colour I used essence Cotton Candy. I then applied tape around the sides of my nails to create squares and applied essence Ice, Ice Baby to colour in the square. At this stage it was looking a bit flat so I used one of my Kiss stripers in silver to outline the squares. That gave it a bit more life. I then applied my trusty Rimmel London Matte Finish Mattifying Topcoat (that’s almost run out!) and voila! A half-decent attempt at recreating a pretty coolio look by The Illustrated Nail.

So there we go! Another attempt at something a bit different. I hope you like it. Thanks for reading!

Celestial Cosmetics May LE 2015

*Press sample

Evening! Today I’m brining you Celestial Cosmetics May LE and it’s gorgeous, just FYI. Nicki, the creator at Celestial Cosmetics, was inspired to create this polish based on the May birthstone, which is emerald. I think she’s done an awesome job. I’m not really into green nail polish but I found this was a very wearable colour – not too bright and not too “green”. I’m sure others who rarely wear green nail polish will get what I mean!

May LE is a medium green scattered holo that also has green and gold microflakies throughout. It was super easy to apply, and what you see is two coats with a top coat of Seche. The holo of the polish isn’t overly strong, but it’s noticeable in the sun. In indoor lighting it’s a really lovely shade as well.
