Evening! Tonight I bring you another Born Pretty Store product I was sent for review: rhinestone studs. My pictures are just to illustrate what the studs look like, but I’ve also worn a few in different designs I didn’t photograph and I can tell you for certain that once these stud are down with top coat, it’s like they’re stuck to your nails. So you really don’t have to worry about them falling off if you think they look too precarious in the pictures!

So the rhinestones come in this circular container that flips open. I thought they would fly everywhere and while it’s a slightly difficult to get the right movement to open the container with, I was able to do it and maintain all the rhinestones in their little segments. What’s inside are roughly 400 rhinestones in squares, circles, rectangles, triangles and paisleys ranging 2mm-3mm. I really liked the mixture, especially the paisleys as you don’t see them about too often. Once the container’s closed the rhinestones are sealed in and don’t cross-contaminate, which I liked.

As you can see I’ve just done some random designs on each of my nails, but it’s really simple to make anything with the variety of rhinestones you get. My rhinestones were placed over Revlon Copa Sunset and topped with a coat of Seche. I used a wax pencil to pick up the studs and it worked perfectly. Also, I have good news about removal. All it takes is the foil method! I was very happy with that. In terms of re-using the studs, I’m sure you probably could, but you might need to not use pure acetone on top of them otherwise they lose too much of their shine. I’m also happy to say these rhinestones don’t look at all tacky. I had thought they might, but when wearing them I found them really classy instead. I’m sure if you went overboard though it could be too much (like anything) – but whatever floats your boat!
