Hello! So, if you follow me on IG you would know last week I received some nail mail from the one and only Emily de Molly. One of the polishes I bought is The Unloved. I really enjoy Emily de Molly’s reds, I always find them so deep and moody (I’m thinking of another I own called No Love Lost). The Unloved hasn’t disappointed me at all. And its depth is reminiscent of Monet’s Garden, so if you like that polish you’ll probably like The Unloved, too.
So as you can see The Unloved is dark red jelly base with some really beautiful glitters throughout including: large holo dots (squee!), holo hexes, pink and red squares and iridescent glitter. It’s a beautiful combination and even at two coats, it looks quite deep, I think. I used two coats with a top coat of Seche, but you could use three if you wanted more depth. Removal-wise, I would definitely suggest the foil method, but just a bit longer than usual as because of the larger glitter it takes a bit longer to soak off. I did notice on removal unfortunately some slight red staining – and I even used a base coat – so just be aware of that.
- Where to buy: Emily de Molly
- Cost: AU$10
- Volume: 12ml
- Coats to opacity: Two
I really love how this polish looks in the sunlight. I tried to capture a blurry shot of the glitters, but it just didn’t work out. You might have to buy it yourself and see! Also, good news as well for all Emily de Molly fans – Hayley’s shop is back up and running so now instead of browsing you can also buy, he he. I’ll be showing you the other Emily de Molly polishes I bought throughout the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. Thanks for reading!
