Dry, Dammit!

A nail blog by an impatient polisher

essence A Hint of Love

Hiya! Looking back at my last post featuring Fox & Owl Snow Leopard I realised I didn’t tell you how many coats I used to achieve the look. The answer is two with a top coat of Seche. I’ve updated the post so that’s included now – phew! I know a lot of people were panicking (tongue in cheek).

Anywho, today I bring you essence A Hint of Love. I’ve looked this one up a bit to see whether the consensus is either that it’s a red-leaning pink shimmer or pink-leaning red shimmer, but it seems anything goes. I thought it looked pinker, but most seem to call it red so I’ll leave the deciding of that up to you! Maybe the polish is red and the specks pink? Outside it definitely looks pinker, as you’ll see below.

What you see is two coats with a top coat of Seche. I was really impressed with the formula. Smooth, easy to apply and even though it does contain the “specks” it was very manageable. A simple swipe on the nail, really. I removed it just as you would a creme polish and had no problems. On to more photos!

I really love everything about this polish; it truly lives up to the sticker on its lid. It’s girly-girly while still be a bit different. I might convince my mum to give it a go – I think she would really like it. Thanks for reading!

  1. Looks very beautiful!

  2. It really does change colour depending on the light, which I think is quite nice. A very pretty, girly polish.

Please leave a comment! I read every one and always reply.
