Essie Jamaica Me Crazy

*Nothing to disclose

Today I’ve got Essie Jamaica Me Crazy to show you. This is one of the two Essies I own, the other being Fair Game. I think the colour is a few years old now too, I’ve seen reviews of it from 2011. Essie is now sold at Priceline in Australia so it’s pretty accessible now, the only problem being it comes with a way over-the-top price that really doesn’t inspire me to buy more – AU$16.95.

But, moving on. Jamaica Me Crazy is a magenta shimmer polish. It really does have a pretty shimmer to it. What you see below is two coats with a top coat of Seche.

This is a really pretty summery polish to wear. Plus, it has a totally different look from the other shimmers I have, I think the shine to it is more “neater”, if that’s a thing at all. The polish was also easy peasy to apply.

If you follow me (click the link or search for @drydammit) on Instagram I showed you these nails last week. Sorry I didn’t bring them to you sooner, since then I’ve had a bout of gastro and have felt really under the weather. Back to work tomorrow though so (fingers crossed) I should be alright. Also, you may have noticed I cut the length of my nails! I had to, the breakage on my right hand was starting to annoy me. I just have two pesky nails that love to break. I have also since trimmed them right down and made them more oval as opposed to square. I hope you like them when you see them next. Thanks for reading!

  1. Beautiful!

  2. Oh no, you poor thing! Gastro is evil *shudders*. I think your nails look great this shape though, and good on you for being so adventurous, I always just trim them the same way. I get what you mean about this being a neat polish, maybe because the shimmer is so small and dense. Also, Essie is a gorgeous brand. So expensive though.
Ugh, and I am so sorry I haven’t been on here or FB, or anywhere else really. Long story but hope we can catch up soon!

    • That’s OK, that’s life! I’m trying to get some of my nails out of always getting peeling in teh same areas. Suffice to say I have invested a lot in thickeners and hand creams now!

Please leave a comment! I read every one and always reply.
