OK, so by now you probably get that I am loving textured polishes at the moment. If you’re not a fan, sorry! But I can’t help it. Today I have for you Sally Hansen Sugar Fix from the Sugar Coat Collection. I really like this collection because they’re all just pretty much textured solid colours. To me that equals simple and easy!
Sugar Fix is a milky white. What you see is two coats with no top coat. I really enjoyed wearing it but only could wear it for a day because I found since it’s white, textured and has no top coat, it picks up stains like anything. 😦 I could have re-applied a new coat, but I didn’t want it to be too scratchy, if you know what I mean.
Look at how massive the bottle is! It’s only 11.8ml, so I’m not sure why it looks so massive like that in my hand. The bottle is quite nice, pretty thick glass, so obviously that has something to do with it – my hands haven’t shrunk anyway!
- Where to buy: Priceline and Chemist Warehouse
- Cost: AU$9.95
- Volume: 11.8ml
- Coats to opacity: Two
I used Sugar Fix as the base for some gradient nail art for a competition on Instagram for Priceline. If you follow me (Please do! Click the link or search for @drydammit) you would have seen these nails a couple of weeks ago. Well, I thought I share the love here too. Along with Sugar Fix, I used Bubble Plum (purple) and Cotton Candies (pink) also from the Sugar Coat Collection to create a textured gradient. It didn’t come out too bad.
