Dry, Dammit!

A nail blog by an impatient polisher

Ulta3 Tahiti & abstract nail art

*Nothing to disclose

Hello! I have a very summery polish to show you today called Tahiti. It’s made by Ulta3 and apparently it’s been around for a while. In fact I think I saw on Ulta3’s Facebook page that it’s one of Ulta3’s best sellers, so maybe that’s why I haven’t seen it before; too many people are snatching it up! No wonder, it’s a beautiful colour.

I saw Tahiti simply glowing out of the nail polish bins they keep at selected chemists, and as soon as I saw it I thought, I haven’t saw you before. Tahiti is a neon orange creme, you could simply just do two coats or do two coats over one coat of white, which is what you see below. Sorry about being able to see some of the white polish close to the cuticle and the dodgy cuticle on the ring finger, it only really showed when I was uploading the photos.

I am so surprised I loved this colour, as I usually avoid oranges, but ever since I tried Look by BIPA Glitter Coral I’m getting more into them, especially for the beautiful weather we’ve been having recently. I think it would look great on toes as well!

  • Where to buy: Guardian Pharmacy, Terry White Chemists, Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse
  • Cost: AU$2
  • Volume: 13ml

So after a couple of days of wearing Tahiti I decided to do some kind of nail art. I sat about wondering what to do and then just got out some stripers from BYS in white and black and started what seemed to be a zebra look. I decided it needed a bit more and added some stripes of Ulta3 Block It Out for contrast and then Tahiti again for good measure. I think it turned out quite well! A bit animal print, a lot of random; hence the name abstract.

So what do you think of Tahiti? Do you like neon polishes? I think I’m a fan. Thanks for reading!

  1. Ugh, so late getting to this, sorry! I love the nail art, what a good idea. Normally I’m not a huge orange fan, and neon has definitely been out, but what with the BIPA and the Ulta polishes, I’m starting to like them. They seem to work really well as a polish colour.

  2. Oohooh! This looks great! I love orange polish, especially juicy-looking ones like Tahiti! And I really like your abstract nail art, it looks like fabric. I’m going to have to try your technique!

Please leave a comment! I read every one and always reply.
