Hiya! Tonight is just a quick update as with less than a week to go before jetting off to Europe for three months with the husband I’ve been a bit crazy trying to get stuff done! But onto the polish! I have to show you LA Colors Expressionism from its Flash Pop! Collection. I bought it after wandering about Glow Cosmetics and spotting a giant LA Colors display during my recent trip to northern Tassie to visit my family. This collection is very similar to the Revlon Moon Candy collection (I showed you Milky Way here) in that it’s a dual-ended polish with a pretty opaque creme one end and then a multi-coloured glitter in a clear base in the other end, which you can wear together or separately. I found the glitter pieces to be much prettier in the Flash Pop! Collection than in the Moon Candy Collection though.
One end of Expressionism is neon pink that is easy to apply in two coats. Quite a nice pink if you like pinks. The other end is multi-coloured glitter with large blue hexes, smaller pink and purple hexes, smaller pink glitter pieces and holographic glitter flakes – but these are not flakies! What you see is two dabbed coats on top of the neon pink so it’s not a dense glitter by any means. I really enjoyed applying the glitter though; I felt like I was making my own little masterpiece and it was way easier than when I wrestled with Milky Way! Speaking of which, I should note there was a Flash Pop! colour very similar to Milky Way. So if you can’t afford Milky Way maybe this collection’s for you.
DETAILS
- Where to buy: Glow Cosmetics
- Cost: AU5.95
- Volume: 9ml
I wore this for three days and on the third day it started chipping on my dominant right hand, so you may want to use some extra top coat with this. Some of the other colours in the Flash Pop! Collection included neon green, neon blue, a dark grey (a la Milky Way) so there’s some other nice polishes that will be tempting me before I leave! *Must not buy nail polish* Thanks for reading!

This looks great. And always nice to know there is a cheaper alternative out there. Stupid Revlon and their hexy (spelling?) prices.

It’s annoying only buying Revlon in sales.
