Hello! Tonight I bring you one of the polishes from the Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Collection. It’s the only one I found to be a bit different from the others in the collection, to me the rest of the colours are typical in what you see with duochrome / multichrome polishes. It’s called Lava and suffice to say it’s gorgeous!
Lava has a really beautiful pink / orange / gold shift. I’m not much of an orange fan but this deep orange I really love, it’s not so in your face. Sometimes when I’ve worn orange my fingers look like I’ve stuck them in a pumpkin. Not a good look. What you see on me are three coats; the formula’s a bit sheer so I would say stick with the three coats, but maybe two thick coats would work, too.
I found Lava to have a really nice shine (as the name of the collection would suggest) both indoors and outside. Plus it’s a fun colour to wear without being too over the top.

I liked the look of Lava so much I decided to use it as a base for some stamping. I decided on a simple design from plate VL007 by Vivid Lacquer; a stripe pattern, which I’m sure has a fancier name than that. I used Sinful Colors Island Coral for stamping, which worked perfectly I am happy to say.
I really like the stamping. I think it’s subtle. It had been a while since I did some stamping so I probably should have done something a bit more experimental, but oh well. In the meantime, have a great weekend. Thanks for reading!
