Hello! Today I bring you one of my two piCture pOlishes: Cosmos. Cosmos was released last year and it was all the rave for a while. It’s one of the collaboration shades piCture pOlish produces and it was made in conjunction with the very talented nail artist Camille of Pshiiit. I bought it after reading so many wonderful reviews and just from looking at the photos you can see why! It’s stunning.
Cosmos is a navy scattered holographic. piCture pOlish says it contains no glitter and from what I remember when I first wore it, it was a breeze to remove. Just like a creme nail polish. However, I want to warn you to be very careful about staining! The blue in this polish will and does latch on to your cuticles and will even stain down the sides of your nail so be careful. I am a lot neater now, but when I first used it, I had blue stains on my fingers for a while. That is the only real downside I can think of.
Can you believe this is only two coats? And it is just so complex, I look down at my nails and just see more and more detail.

I decided to use Cosmos as a base for day five of The Cuteberry Nail Challenge. This day’s theme is your favourite sea creature. I chose whales! I love whales, they are beautiful mammals. I did two attempts of the whales, my first attempt turned out pretty badly as I did the eyes too big and the whale looked a bit freaky… but then the second time around I used a smaller dotting tool and it was much better! I put a matte top coat on and I thought I waited plenty long enough for the polish to dry, but it turns out my middle finger didn’t agree with me and the whale looks as if it’s crying.
Polishes I used:
- piCture pOlish Cosmos
- Chi Chi I Don’t Gossip So Listen (grey)
- Models Prefer No Angel (white)
- Models Prefer Little Black Dress (black)
I am really pround of my little whales, especially their little tails! I did whales on both hands and I am impressed with how neat I did both hands, to be honest. Although I don’t think Cosmos looks all that good matte. I guess the matte top coat removed all the holographic-ness of the polish. Thanks for reading!
