Hello! I’ve interrupted my planned post for tonight to show you a beautiful polish I picked up at Priceline on the weekend. In fact, I would even say you could just have it in your collection and not worry about Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe or Sally Hansen Mermaid’s Tale. It’s Savvy by DB Splash & Dash. Yes, a humble AU$3 polish.
Look how awesome the above photo is. It looks like I’ve got an ocean on my nails! I swear, all day I was looking at my fingers and just waggling them about in front of my face. The colours are just so deep and pretty. For what I’m wearing I laid a base of Ulta3 Hollywood, a shimmery dark blue, and then two coats of Splash & Dash on top. The formula was nice, but I found the more I dipped and re-dipped the brush into the bottle it got a bit goopy, so I suggest just going nice and slow and just waiting for the polish to settle.
Sorry about the blue tint to my photos. Winter is here so that means my morning-sun-indoors-before-work shot has turned into stand-outside-on-my-deck-trying-to-catch-a-bit-of-light-before-work shot. Very annoying.
- Where to buy: Priceline
- Cost: AU$3
- Volume: 10ml
- Coats to opacity: Sheer, so I would recommend two coats over a base colour
I tried looking up Savvy by DB and I could hardly find anything on it, let alone swatches and other pictures of its nail polishes. I’m going to try and make it my mission now to post as many of these polishes as I can, especially seeing as the Savvy by DB ‘box’ has been restocked and updated and I’m sure other people would be looking for pictures, too. Also, I have noticed the price of the Savvy by DB polishes has gone up by AU1c. Not a lot I know, but still it has gone up, just so you know.
Let me know what you think of Splash & Dash. Don’t you just love the name? Thanks for reading!
