Dry, Dammit!

A nail blog by an impatient polisher

Revlon Whimsical

*Nothing to disclose

Hello! Today I have Revlon Whimsical to show you. I’m not sure if it was ever released in Australia… I got mine in a blog sale about two weeks ago now from Nat of No Holos! From what I know about it, it was all the rage when it was released, I’m thinking mainly because it reminds people of an indie polish, plus it’s a pretty different formula than Revlon’s regular colour line.

Ugh. Sorry about the crappy photos and my crappy fingers. I didn’t have my photo groove going. The pictures are colour accurate though.

Whimsical is a very sheer milky green polish that has blue and pink hex glitters and some smaller iridescent glitters. It is very pretty. I wore it without any undies, but I think next time I will definitely wear a light green under it as it took me five coats to get to this opacity, which I am not that keen on doing, it just feels like too many layers.

  • Where to buy: Blog sales or eBay
  • Cost: I got mine for AU$3 but it ranges depending where you buy it from
  • Volume: 14.7ml
  • Coats to opacity: Five

So, what do you think of Whimsical? Does it remind you of an indie polish? I’m glad I have it in my stash. If you can get your hands on one you should definitely get it. Thanks for reading!

  1. Oooh, I really like this one. It’s a pity it took so many coats to opacity. I’d never have the patience. Maybe if I cheated and used a white base coat, or would that alter the colour? So pretty though.

Please leave a comment! I read every one and always reply.
