Hello! Today I have some nail art to show you I created with two of the Ulta3s I purchased a couple of weekends ago now, I think. The names of the polishes are Jade and Antique Gold and they are both from Ulta3’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.

I’ve got to tell you, I’m loving nail art tape at the moment! It’s so much easier to use than sticky tape or Scotch tape. I actually got the idea to leave some of the nail showing between the colours from another blog… I’m trying to recall which one… well, when I remember I will link it.

Both the Ulta3 polishes I used were of great consistency for this type of nail art as they are both quite thick and opaque in one coat. While I do like the colours, I think for nail art they don’t really ‘stand out,’ this is more like subtle nail art. I do like it but when I did look down at my hands a few times I did think I could have used different colours.

So, what do you think? Have you tried something like this before? It’s certainly not a new look but I like the naked nails peeking through. Thanks for reading!

  1. This would have to be one of my favorite!! Definitely like seeing the naked nail in the pattern. Would love to see this used sometime again with different colours!

    • Thank you! I think it’s one area of nail art I am getting better at, but I’m still yet to have those perfect crisp lines. But I’ll keep trying.
